Hi folks!
I haven't posted for about 5 months, for various reasons. Too busy, too sick, too tired, too uninspired, too sick, too distracted by a toddler who doesn't like to let me complete thoughts, too sick again (uh, I'm currently emerging from another flu as I write this), topics that I started to write about felt too boring or depressing to share, blah blah, blah blah, blah blah...
That said... I started a "bullet journal" in chart form on Jan 1st (hey, my birthday is a great time to try something new), and it is pretty motivating. It's still discovering its final form, but I am really abnormally excited about it. It's so... simple.
A journal? Haven't had one since high school.
The journal is in the form of a clipboard that contains 5 pages of charts, and that is my entire plan for the year!
A picture is worth a billion words.
I'm assuming that journals-in-the-form-of-charts are hard to appreciate without actually seeing them. So in about a week when I'm pretty sure everything is finalized, I'll share it!
In the meantime, here is a sneak peak of this year's seed packets, plus a little hope for spring.
What are your plans for 2018?

- Page 1: Week
- Contains all the to-do stuff for the current week.
- This is connected to a word document, so I fill out and print a new page each week after checking my google calendar.
- I can add notes about each day... what happened, how I was feeling, etc. Stuff that I wouldn't put in a google calendar, but enough to get my thoughts out on paper.
- Page 2: Month
- Contains all the habits I would like to start or continue.
- I tend to fill this out once at night, just checking off each item or not.
- Biggest benefit: Science!! I can figure out whether things like sleep or socializing or hiking affect other habits.
- Page 3: Year
- Contains all my long-term projects, along with plans for completion that I think are easily achievable if I don't procrastinate too much.
- Biggest benefit: The chart shows progress on each project compared to a calendar, so I can see whether they will be completed on time.
- Page 4: 2018's Garden
- This is a weekly to-do list of planting indoors, planting outdoors, transplanting, first time harvesting, important notes... for 31 different types of veggies.
- When I refresh Page 1 every week, I just add on the tasks already laid out in this chart.
- I will share this very soon for Zone 9b people!
- Page 5: Crochet
- This contains shortened notes for my biggest year-long crochet projects.
- Biggest benefit: I can grab any of these projects on a whim and just go, rather than losing my post-it for the 100th time and having to find the original recipe to make another note. I'm ready.

Greens and oranges and reds... there are some purple veggies in there too! |
